Murphy Oil opened a representative office in Indonesia mid 2006, and signed its first Production Sharing Contract (PSC) in May 2008 for the South Barito Block in South Kalimantan. This was followed, in November 2008, by the Semai II Block PSC. The block is located south of West Papua and Murphy Oil is working in equal partnership with other well known companies. Most recently the Wokam II PSC was signed on December 17, 2010.

We are looking for an Indonesian SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER with > 10-15 years of experience. Experience in deep-water drilling together with onshore drilling in Indonesia, is preferable. Candidate will provide drilling technical expertise focused on improving drilling performance and cost. This position will provide guidance to the Drilling Manager in all aspects of well planning together with providing technical/engineering and operations support to the drilling operations, including drilling project management, implementation of new technologies, innovate work practices and cost saving initiatives. The individual will have responsibility for optimizing well planning, well design, drilling program preparation and issue of well cost estimation to management and relevant authorities. Above all, we emphasize on a candidate s good reporting, problem solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment.

1. Drilling Superintendent
Job description:

a. Supervise drilling operations.
b. Review, plan and optimize drilling schedule for upcoming year.
c. Provide report directly to the Company s Drilling Operations.
d. Directly responsible for site supervision of exploratory, delineation, development drilling of wells in onshore area.
e. Instruct and supervise the drilling Contractor s or Company s Tool Pusher and Crew in carrying out all phases of approved drilling program.

2. Sr. Drilling Engineer
Job Description:

a. Prepare well design.
b. Working closely with G&G in collecting data and design the well and make presentation to the team.
c. Prepare drilling program and generate it based on the above well design, and discuss it with drilling team.
d. Prepare AFE and working with other unit to generate AFE based on the drilling program.

3. Drilling Engineer

4. Drilling Logistic/Material Coordinator
Job Description:

a. Monitor, update, provide and maximize the existing stock list utilization of drilling material/equipment and ensuring all are available in the field in time.
b. Provide the recommendation of logistic strategy.
c. Work with SCM in movement process of material/equipment and inventory tracking sheet.
d. Manage the inventory system and update in weekly basis and optimize the warehouse and yard.
e. Check the material physically and periodically and report to Drilling Engineer.

5. Drilling SHE Coordinator
Job Description:

a. Prepare weekly report or every rig, operationally under DSS supervision in brief and user friendly.
b. Conduct inspection/Audit of housekeeping and rig accessories equipment periodically with SHE Business Unit/ rig and company man and submit findings report to the team.
c. Conduct training and provide guidance to SHE Business Unit in implementing safety induction to visitor/new employers who will work at drilling area.
d. Monitor activities of SHE Business Unit in implementing duties that already follow the SHE plan and documented at Company Man/Radio Room file.
